Hello to all at Law Primary. Thank you for all your comments on the weblog, we love reading them..we have been out of touch for a few weeks as we had a serious problem with our technology and school server recently, which has now been resolved. So we hope to be keeping you up to date with what is going on.
3rd , 4th and 5th grade are about to sit their practice EOG`s (End of Grade assessments) next week before they go on Spring break. They have one 2 hour Reading test on Monday and another two hour Maths test on Tuesday. They follow the same conditions as pupils at the High School who sit their Standard Grades. These are practice tests and the real thing are at the end of May. As you can imagine it quite a stressful time for the students….
Fourth grade have just finished their Science project on Rocks and Minerals in which they learn a lot of the same things that primary 7 do at home in the Structure of the earth project. They all chose an area they were interested to research further and then presented this to the class. They worked hard and wanted to share what they did.
Fourth grade have been learning about fractions for the past month and today they played a game they made themselves ordering fractions, identifying equivalent fractions and using the landmark numbers of O – 1/2, 1/2 – 1 and 1 – 2. Take a look…..
