The Parent Council would like to thank everyone that came along to support our fabulous festive fayre. It really was the place to be on Saturday morning! Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen in any way and a special note of thanks to Dunbar Lyric Group for their superb carol singing. Congratulations to those who won prizes in the raffle and commiserations to those who tried hard to win those illusive bottles of wine! An amazing £1,400 has been raised which will go directly to benefit the pupils.

Bring your friends and family and come along to enjoy a festive fun-packed Christmas Fayre. Lots of games and stalls. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and some delicious home baking whilst listening to live carol singing. Grab the chance to win one of our amazing prizes in the Grand Raffle. Raffle tickets available from the Parent Council or on the day.
Donations of gifts, bottles, toys, games and sweets towards the tombola are gratefully received and can be handed into the school office or to any PC member by Monday 2nd December, if possible.
Calling all bakers…..the home baking stall is always very popular. If you would like to donate any homebaking, simply bring this to school on the morning of the fayre.
We look forward to seeing you all there.

NPFS – The Learner Journey
Parents at National Parent Forum of Scotland (NPFS) Focus Groups and events have been telling us that they wanted more information that explained the stages and progression through Curriculum for Excellence. We are pleased that the Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning, Michael Russell, is listening to parents and responding. The NPFS were happy to work alongside Scottish Government to produce the Learner Journey and Leaflet. It shows the commitment and determination of everyone involved to take account of the views of parents and to keep them informed. We would encourage all parents to read it and ask their teachers what it means in their school, for their child.”
