Friends of West Barns Lottery
Dear Parent/Carer
West Barns Parent Council would like to invite you to join the Friends of West Barns Lottery.
Open to family and friends of the school, the lottery raises valuable funds for the Parent Council’s School Transport Account which subsidises the cost of transport for school trips throughout the year. This allows pupils to participate and benefit from off-site activities. You can complete this form and return it to a member of the Parent Council or hand it in at the school office.
Updated Website
Dear Parents
The Website has been recently updated. Have a good look around. I have also given the site a new header of The Biel .
Parentzone: Have your say
Parentzone –Tell us what you think about the Parentzone website.
Parentzone is a website dedicated to providing you as a parent or carer, with the most up to date information about your child’s education.
It provides practical advice and ideas of how you can be involved in your child’s learning as well as essential information on features of Curriculum for Excellence.
If you are a parent of a child aged 3 – 18 we would be grateful if you would complete our short survey to help us ensure that Parentzone reflects the needs of all parents and carers.
The survey should take about 5 – 10 minutes to complete and all responses are confidential.
The survey will close on 30 August 2013

Fun Festival & BBQ
Thank you to all who came along on Thursday night to make our 5th annual barbecue a huge success. The weather was kind and allowed for a fun filled night in the school grounds with the best view ever! There were games for the kids as well as a bouncy castle. As always there was a tasty bbq as well as ice cream, strawberries & scrumptious pavlovas. A fantastic night to be part of the West Barns School Community. Thank you to all who helped in any way. Enjoy the Summer.
Summer Festival and Barbecue
Its that time of year again….
Time to come along to the annual barbecue and enjoy someone else doing the cooking! Enjoy the view & the queue for burgers! A great opportunity for the school community to come together at the end of the school year. Hopefully the sun will shine.
