Thursday night certainly was a fantastic foodie night! Despite the small number there, it really was a very enjoyable night and around £200 was raised towards the Playground Fund. Thanks to Alex and George, Katie and Katriona for their support and contributions in making it happen and we hope to hold another foodie themed night sometime in the future.
Remember to come along on Thursday 9th at 7.30pm for a fantastic foodie night.
The menu includes:

Proving to be a very popular event as it’s a great chance for the whole school community to get together at the end of another busy year.
More details on both these events to follow and obviously are dependant on the weather.
If you are able to help at either of these events please speak to any member of the Parent Council
Come along to experience a taste of the Mediterranean. Included in the ticket price of £5 (available at door) you will be able to take away some high quality Parma Ham, which will be hand sliced for you on the night, a mouth watering recipe book to add to your collection, and a chance to sample some fantastic wines and ports. Additional stalls will be provided by Jamie at Home and Rock Lobster Chocolates.
There will be an international food quiz and there will be a chance to win tickets to the Taste of Edinburgh Festival (1-3 July) either by winning the quiz or a separate raffle.
So come along for a fantastic foodie night.
All money raised will go towards the West Barns Playground Fund.
The Spring Ceilidh was a great success with lots of super dancing, fantastic food, a great raffle, as well as a chance to win a bottle of whisky. A good time was had by all who attended and £317.12 was raised towards the West Barns Playground Fund. The Parent Council would like to thank everyone who contributed in any way to making the first West Barns Spring Ceilidh such a good night.
Well this is very exciting my first post on the Parent Council page. I’m sure everyone will understand that we were unable to go ahead with the Christmas Fayre, disappointing though that was. However we are still doing our best to run a few festive activities and raise as much money as possible through the school raffle which will be drawn at the closing assembly. You can still get tickets to sell from Lorna in school or ask any of the P/C members and of course there will be tickets available on the day.
I know there will be flyers going out soon as we still need donations for the hampers and again these can be left with Lorna in school.
Thanks in advance for all you support and stay warm and safe in these rather artic conditions although the thaw appears to have started, until next time !!!
