The National Galleries of Scotland Art Competition for Schools 2011 is now in its eighth year. Already, almost 25,000 children have created art work inspired by the national collection. You can select from six different age categories, each with a different theme. There are fabulous prizes for individuals, whole classes and art departments. Each school receives a specially designed certificate and the 53 winning entries are professionally framed and displayed.
To enter the 2011 competition, please download the relevant PDF application pack from the NGS website. You can view work from the 2010 competition at the National Gallery of Scotland until 20 October. It will then start its tour of Scotland at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children.
