This year, ESPC is supporting Libby Clegg, a local athlete who won a silver medal in the 100m at the Beijing Paralympics and is training hard for the London games this year.
ESPC is running a competition across schools in our area where 5 schools will win a visit from Libby and one lucky school will receive a visit plus £500 towards school sports equipment. Also, many of the entries will be published on espc.com to give house hunters a taste of what your area has to offer.
Entering could not be easier. In up to 200 words, tell us what you like about the area you live in.
Our judging panel will review all the entries and a winner will be selected as follows:
• Best overall entry
• Best entry from East Lothian
• Best entry from Edinburgh
• Best entry from Fife
• Best entry from Midlothian
• Best entry from West Lothian
So, sharpen those pencils and get the thinking caps on boys and girls. We want to hear what you have to say. You never know, you might just see what you have written appearing on espc.com one of these days and Libby could be coming to your school in October.
Please see attached a flyer outlining the details of the competition and an entry form which schools can copy as required. Attached also for information is the ESPC press release about ESPC involvement with Libby and if pupils would like to read more about her achievements, just visit www.espc.com/teamlibby .
