To celebrate the Diamond Jubilee, British Food Fortnight is inviting all schools in the UK to create a special menu featuring recipes that celebrate the best of British to be served to The Queen and The Duchess of Cornwall at a reception at Buckingham Palace in June.
Taking part is easy! All schools have to do is design a menu fit for The Queen that celebrates the food produced in your part of the country. See http://www.lovebritishfood.co.uk/about-british-food-fortnight/cook-for-the-queen/ for details.
The competition is open to 10 – 15 year olds in all primary and secondary schools in the UK and closing date for entries is Monday 30th April.
Moreover, as well as the chance to be invited to Buckingham Palace in June to see their winning recipes brought to life and help serve them at a reception attended by The Queen, 4 Scottish schools entering the competition also have the opportunity to show off their entries at Holyroodhouse Palace in May!
If your school is interested in this fantastic opportunity at Holyroodhouse, please contact Danielle on info@lovebritishfood.co.uk for more details.
