Play to performance. An exciting and engaging exploration of contemporary plays, lifting the words off the page and into action. Discover how a piece of writing becomes the performance you see on stage, and be part of the process.
Over four days, you’ll work with a range of plays and how to perform them – developing characters, staging scenes and telling stories. This is a great opportunity to let your imagination and creativity run loose on some of the best writing for young people in Scotland!

Gordon Barr, Artistic Director of the Bard in the Botanics Festival in Glasgow, will lead the group. Gordon has been a director and drama tutor for many well-known companies across Scotland including the National Theatre of Scotland, Macrobert Arts Centre in Stirling, Cumbernauld Theatre and TAG in Glasgow. During this time he has directed young people in various productions, ranging from Shakespeare to Alice in Wonderland.

Places are limited and will be given on a first come – first served basis.
