The Hour of Code is coming!

What is the Hour of Code?

The Hour of Code forms part of the annual Computer Science Education Week in the United States.  It’s a worldwide campaign and runs from the 9th – 15th December and its aim is to encourage interest in the field and show that anyone can learn the basics.

The Hour of Code campaign goal is to introduce 10 million students to one hour of computer science.

Although children today are surrounded by technology few are learning how computers actually work or how to create software.  By getting a feel for computational thinking early, children will have a foundation for success in any career path.

ComputerXplorers is currently offering all our existing schools a free introductory workshop in “Programming with Scratch” to help celebrate the Hour of Code.
