To all teachers
Due to a review of all outdoor education and the implementation of this year’s ranger work plan by the National Trust for Scotland Lothian Ranger Service the following will take place in 2014.
1. CPD outdoor environmental education sessions will be offered to teachers at Newhailes Estate. Dates and programme to be forwarded to all schools in early February.
2. Due to our other ranger commitments; ecological surveys, habitat management, patrols, guided walks, our own CPD, community group work and shows, there will be a reduction in ranger led school visits at the National Trust for Scotland’s Lothian sites. The ranger service will still welcome and help facilitate self-led visits.
