See Hear” Sensory Impairment Strategy: East/Midlothian Event

Following the launch of the Scottish Government’s “See Hear” sensory impairment strategy, we are planning an event to look at local implementation specific to the issues for children and young people, their families and carers.

This will be a joint East and Midlothian event, held at Musselburgh Racecourse on Wednesday 9th September.

Bring your personal experience and ideas to share with us.
Help us improve services to meet the needs of children and young people in East and Midlothian who live with hearing or sight loss.
Assistance with transport can be arranged/Communication support will be provided/ Guide and Hearing dogs welcome.
There will be two sessions:- 2-4pm and 4.30-6.30pm. Refreshments will be served 4-5pm.

The NCDS Listening Bus will also be on site and group sessions can be booked in advance.

Personal invites will be sent out nearer the time with all the details and information on how to book a place, but in the meantime please keep your diary free.
