Food and Drink Career Expo is organised by College Development Network (CDN) and will take place on Thursday 14 September 2017 at BT Murrayfield, Edinburgh hosted during Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight.

With careers including Engineering, Science and Product Development and Production, Scotland’s Food and Drink industry is currently worth over £16.5 billion. With around 27,000 jobs emerging from the sector between now and 2030, come and find out how you can get involved one of Scotland’s fastest growing industries.

BBC News School Report – Thursday15/03/2012 09:00 for 1hr 15m

BBC News School Report – News Day
On Thursday over 100 schools in Scotland will be taking part in BBC News School Report (1000 across the UK) 
They will be making audio, film and online reports on news stories which matter to them working towards a 2pm deadline, ready to upload their reports to their School websites by 4pm. 
The BBC links to their reports and will be featuring their progress throughout the day on the school report website and on the BBC Red Button – SR TV 9-10.15am and 2-4pm and SR Radio 1000-1400.  
There will be a range of outside broadcasts ranging from Dumfries to the Olympic Park.   Schools have been working on this throughout the year and the Scottish reporters have had a number of exciting opportunities including a trip to the Olympic Swimming trials in London and interviewing UK and Scottish party leaders as well as one school visiting the new set of Waterloo Road in Greenock.

Edinburgh Uni Careers events in Engineering, Nursing & Social Work – Oct 2010

Edinburgh University are running some careers events in non-Pathways subject areas in October.

These are in addition to the normal Pathways events in Medicine, Vet Medicine, Law and Architecture, details here.

These are open to any S5 or S6 pupil from schools in the local area.

The events are as follows:

Wed 20th Oct: So You Want to be an Engineer?
Wed 20th Oct: So You Want to be a Nurse? (run in conjunction with Queen Margaret University)
Friday 29th Oct: So You Want to be a Social Worker?

Each event will take place in the afternoon and will involve workshops, discussion sessions and the opportunity to talk to people already working in the professions.
