Please see the information below which has been provided by Alastair Seaman, GfL Programme Manager
We’re running a training course in Edinburgh in Sept on using school grounds for learning – and would like to let schools in E Lothian know about it. I wondered if you would be willing to pass the details on to any schools or teachers that might be interested.
The course will:
. Explore the reasons for taking learning and teaching outdoors – how it can benefit both pupils and teachers.
. Try out simple, cost effective, tried and tested lesson ideas to bring all areas of the curriculum to life – not just the usual suspects!
. Look at how other schools have taken lessons outdoors – across topics and age groups.
. Share ideas and good practice and allow you to start to prepare a lesson to take back to your own school – looking at planning and evaluating learning outdoors.
The day will be a mixture of sharing through discussion, practical hands on activities and a chance to relate the content to participant’s own schools Full details and a booking form are here:
If you have any questions then feel free to give me a call.
