We were developing our use on the Play on Pedals balance bikes. We explored why it was important to wear a helmet, avoiding objects/ people and how we look after the bikes.
Moving in an active way both indoors and outdoors.
Lots of skills being used during our outdoor obstacle course and visit to the school tyre structure.
Tip-toeing / jumping / throwing / catching / squatting and rising / moving our bodies under/over and through, staying safe by lining up and holding hands.
This week we have been busy planting Sunflower seeds. The children have been chatting about how they have grown them at home as part of our Family Learning. We have explored measurements by building castles with the blocks and foam blocks as well as making beanstalks talking about if they are big/small, long/ short and tall/small.
We were practising counting forwards using beans and number plant pots. The children chose a plant pot and counted out the correct number of beans.
