Our 5 Senses

This week we have been exploring our 5 senses. We had A very hungry caterpillar snack where the children we given the opportunity to taste, touch, smell and see many different food. We had plums, strawberries, apples, oranges, pickle, cupcake, salami, watermelon and swiss cheese.

We have a sensory table where we have different smells in bags and the children guess the smell.

The children were given the opportunity to visit the sensory room in the school which was great fun.

Welcome Back

Welcome back! Our children are settling well back at nursery.

We have been exploring lots of resources both in our indoor and outdoor area.

The children found a ladybird outdoors where we explored colour, spots and symmetry.

South Of Scotland Transport Survey for Young People

The Workforce Mobility Project would like young people to complete a short five minute survey. This is a great opportunity to highlight the transport and digital barriers and challenges which impact you and your families.

This survey is for all young people, and is asking about all forms of transport, from walking, public transport, personal car use and all points in between. It is also important to hear the voices of young people who might otherwise be ignored, such as young people with disabilities, and their experience of transport in the area.

Messy Play

We had some messy play exploring our senses. We used shaving foam and paint to write our name and make marks. We spoke about the letter sounds in our name and recognising the shapes of some letters.
