People who help us

This week we continued to learn about People who help us. We had a visit from the local School crossing patrol guide and had an unannounced fire drill where we were visited from the Fire services. We listened to both the school crossing guide and fire services about how they keep us safe and their job.

We were learning how we can help others too. The children practised cutting, sticking and colouring their Pudsey masks and we baked cakes too.

P4/5 Learning for week ending 19th November

Our focus for Health and Wellbeing this week was Anti Bullying Week.   We shared the qualities that are important to us in a good friend and then explored what bullying looks like, sounds like and feels like.  Working in our cooperative teams we then designed posters with a focus on kindness and respectful behaviour choices.

This week we have been exploring weather. We have acted out the different decisions people may make because of changes in the weather, planning an information poster in p4 and created a rain gauge, which we will demonstrate to nursery next week!

P2 – Anti-Bullying Week

This week is Anti-Bullying Week. P2 talked about what bullying is and what to do if they or someone they know is being bullied.

We all designed a pair of odd socks to celebrate how unique we all are!

P1 – 19/11/21

P1 really enjoyed continuing our topic work this week, learning about our sense of touch. We felt lots of different objects and materials and used lots of words to describe how they felt. We then put these objects and materials into two categories; whether they felt hard or soft.

P1 have enjoyed reading this week. We read through our first Biff, Chip & Kipper books and we were able to pick out our new sounds we have learnt from the books in our library.
