P4/5 Scottish Art Work

We have been learning about the Scottish artist Ritchie Collins as part of our Scottish topic. We have used his drawing of Edinburgh castle as our inspiration to create our own image. We were focusing on colour, texture, line, form, tone and shape. We were also exploring creating a foreground, middle ground and a background.

P2 – Under the sea

This week we started our new topic – Under the Sea!

We have loved exploring the new sea creature toys and playing in our own submarine!

We have done lots of art work inspired by under the sea. We have been particularly working on our cutting skills.

P1 began our new ‘Under the Sea’ topic by making some jellyfish! We had to paint our plate, cut out tentacles and a smiley face. We have also enjoyed playing in our new kitchen area and we have made lots of brilliant castles using the bricks!

Our Learning 14th Feb 2022

This week the children made bird feeders and took these out to the school grounds to hang on the trees. We have been looking at our factual book about birds, spotting the different birds in our environment and learning their names.

We made a car wash in the nursery garden and visited the gym hall to practice some of our physical skills.
