Resilience

P3/4 made puppets and created a drama to explore conflict and resolution in friendships. They had lots of fun coming up with solutions!

P4/5 The Romans

While P5 are doing their swimming lessons P4 have been enjoying researching the Romans.  They are very excited because we will be making a mini museum for the P5s to visit and the P4s will be acting as their guides sharing what they have learnt.  It’s all top secret at the moment but here is a sneaky peak of the P4s doing this week’s research.

Nursery Learning week beginning 2nd May

This week in nursery we have been learning all about mini beasts. Both groups of children have been out in the school grounds hunting for mini beasts and we found lots. We used mini beast hunt sheets to organise our findings by marking off each insect as we found them.

As part of this learning we have been exploring different mini beast songs such as Incy wincy spider and the ants go marching, the Monday/Tuesday group asked if there was a song about a centipede so we played “the wee Kirkcudbright centipede” and made our own human centipede in the garden to act out the song.
