The Journey of our Olympic Torch

Musselburgh Cluster held a competition to design our own Olympic torches.  The winners were chosen and  then began the journey.  We received the torches from Musselburgh Grammar School.  The whole school welcomed them into Whitecraig with lots of flags waving and cheering.  Next it was our turn to take the torches to the Burgh PS.  It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the walk.   We were welcomed to the Burgh by the whole school, a piper and even a choir.  What a fantastic journey!

P6/7 Take the Slopes!

A small group of P6/7’s took to the slopes last night.  We had our first ski lesson at Hillend after school and thankfully the weather was kind to us.

Our instructor Kirsty, explained all about our skis and boots then it was our first challenge……..putting the boots on!!

Once we took to the slopes we learned how to attach our boots to our skis, how to side step up hill…pretty tricky and then finally we were given a taste of speed.

Miss Cran and Mrs Lewis were very impressed with the high standard of ski-ing and there were plenty of laughs!  Well done P6/7.

Nursery Nature Play

The afternoon Nursery group are going to be going on lots of adventures in the woods as part of ‘Nature Play’.  This week Ros came to visit and told the children about what they will be doing.  They are excited about finding treasures,  making things, listening to stories and swinging in the hammock!
