Learning in P5C

In spelling we have been doing plurals. Plurals are when there is more than one thing. In writing this week we wrote acrostic poems about Autumn. We had to have the big letters of the word going down the side then we had to write a sentence for each letter. We have also been doing space information posters where we wrote space facts and drew planets

In maths we have been doing angles. I know that an acute angle is between 1 and 89 degrees, a right angle is 90 degrees and an obtuse angle is between 91 and 179 degrees. A straight line is 180 degrees.

In PE we have been doing invasion games last term like bench ball but this term we are doing central net games. In music we are learning how to play the recorder.

Last week we went on a trip to the Royal Observatory in Edinburgh. The man that took us round was called Will. We went to a room and saw a big telescope. After that we went to a room and had a quiz. Then we had lunch and after lunch we played lots of games before going back to school.

Keep an eye on our class blog to find out what we have been up to! Feel free to leave us comments, we would love to know what you think about what we have been doing in class.
