In school bags tomorrow, you will find a leaflet all about “What You Say Counts”. The leaflet has ideas about what to say to your child when talking about Numeracy and Maths. There are some useful website links and resources that you can use at home to help your child and tips for all children to help open their eyes to the fun world of numbers around them.
The leaflet will come home with your youngest child who attends the school so please look out for it.

What You Say Counts
Welcome to our first post!
The class have settled in really well and are enjoying making new friends and exploring the Learning Areas in the classroom. Everyone is really excited about our “Mapping My Local Area” learning and loved making maps of the classroom. We had to imagine that we were birds flying across the room and think about what our classroom would look like from above.
We are making booklets about ourselves on a map and looked at a map of a town. We had to talk about what we saw, thought and wondered about. The ideas from the class were fantastic. We can’t wait to finish our booklets and display them on our Learning Wall. Continue reading “Welcome to Primary 2C”
Miss Innes is teaching some pupils how to use the school website. They will be learning how to write posts, make comments on posts and add photographs to posts. Keep checking the class pages to see what they have been up to!
Primary One are looking forward to performing their Nativity on Thursday 15th December. We are looking to raffle some hampers on the day of the performance and urgently need donations for the hampers. If you have anything you can donate please give this to your child’s class teacher as soon as possible.
Primary One have been working very hard on their Nativity – “It’s A Baby” – and are looking forward to performing it to their families.
Thank you very much to all Primary One parents who have bought tickets for the Nativity. Tickets are selling very quickly so please return your slip and money to your child’s teacher as soon as possible in a named envelope. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.
