With a hint of spring in the air, and a great turnout of volunteers, we headed to address some unfinished business. First on the list was the finishing touches to the steps on Yellowcraig which now hopefully both look the part while making access much easier on the north side of the hill. A bit of Sycamore brash clearance led us into coffee in the sun, and me forgetting to offer round the fancy biscuits i’d bought two hours earlier.
Fuelled up (but still sans biscuits…they’ll keep til next month) we went of to tackle the rest of the Sycamore before descending on Longskelly point, the stomping ground of Junior Rangers the previous Friday, to clear the remaining Sea Buckthorn stems that had been sprayed several years ago.
A good day, thanks to all.
