Scrub burning (appropriately) and litter picking were today’s objectives.
Recent rainfall had made the pile of ash and sycamore that had been previously removedfrom the dunes a little less flammable, but through either perseverance…or x-men like powers …Katty and Dave got the fire underway.
Autumn is in full flow, with gorgeous colours on the trees (the larches looking especially golden) and interesting fungi abound.
Including the wonderfully named dogs vomit fungus (below),a member of the fascinatingly weird slime moulds.
The fire was a smoky affair but provided some welcome warmth over lunch.
Thanks to all once again.
