Yester take part in Children’s Parliament

One of our bletherers with a finished cube.

Five of our P6 and P7 children took part in an event called A Right Blether on Monday. This was organised by an organisation called the Children’s Parliament. Beforehand had to talk to three friends about things which people can do to help keep Scottish children safe and happy. They wrote these ideas on tiles which clipped together to make a cube. Then they went to Campie Primary where they joined with 20 other children from different schools and took part in drama, discussion and art. The pictures they made will be going on display in a national touring exhibition. Each child’s photo will be beside their artwork so visitors can see the face of the artist.  Only four out of Scotland thirty-two authorities were selected and only five schools in East Lothian were invited to take part. Well done our five talking, sharing, thinking artists!

Here's the whole team, hard at work.
This doesn't just look like fun - it is fun!
