The secondary school to which our pupils normally transfer is Knox Academy, Pencaitland Road, Haddington.

Knox Academy is in regular contact with us. Guidance teachers visit us during the summer to meet pupils and liaise with the P7 teacher. The P7 pupils also enjoy a separate visit from Knox pupils who are able to answer pupils’ questions. A number of transition activities take place each year. The pupils are invited down to the secondary school for two days in the summer term where they are arranged in their new classes. We have an enhanced transition process for children who require additional support. Parents are informed of transfer arrangements by December of the pupil’s last year in Primary School.
