Yester Parent Council 2018/2019 Nominations

Each year, nominated parents/carers form the Parent Council and do their best to represent the views of all of us, work in partnership with the school and keep you all informed of relevant information affecting your child as they learn at Yester Primary.

The Parent Council also raises funds for the School, with a recent focus on reducing the cost of transport for trips and purchasing new books for the library however we can’t do this without the help and support of the wider parent body.

We are always on the lookout for parents/carers who can help with a variety of activities or to take on a role in the Parent Council. If you are able to come along to meetings, help on a one off basis or offer your services in other ways then all help is welcome.

A number of roles in the Parent Council are available for 2018/2019, details of these are provided below.

If you’re interested in taking on one of these roles, joining our Events & Fundraising Group, helping out with one (or more!) of our events or getting involved in some other way then get in touch via

If you want to have a chat about how to get involved then come and see us at our staff the Summer Fair on Saturday 9th June, speak to your Class Rep, drop us an email at any time via or contact our Chair, Nicola Davidson, via

Finally, remember the Parent Council AGM takes place on Monday 18th June 2018 at 7pm in the School. ALL parents/carers are welcome to attend and we would be delighted to see you there.
