When I asked the P6/7 spelling group what they would like to do in their last two weeks of spelling group their responses were painting and shaving foam 🙂Â
This week we painted a word wall showing some of the words we still find tricky.

We have been building words with 3 sounds. The coloured bricks helped us to remember our words had a consonant at the beginning, a consonant at the end and a vowel in the middle.

I can build words with 3 sounds.

T, te, ten.

I can tell you the vowel sound in the middle of the word.
Â
We played a game where we closed our eyes and one of the sounds in our word was taken away. We had to work out which one of our sounds was missing.
It was good fun and we were very good at it 🙂
