It’s great to be back up and running with our blog. If you didn’t get a chance to see the GIRFEC (Getting It Right For Every Child) display at our recent Curriculum evening please feel free to come into the Support for Learning Base as I have now put the information on the wall.
We have already been hard at work this term. Below are photos of a few groups in action.
The P1/2 and P2/3 Handwriting group have been following punctuated lines to draw shapes. This work improves form constancy (the ability to recognise an object despite changes in size, shape or position).

Our Spelling groups have been using a game to build words using ‘chunks’.

The P2/3 and P3/4 sounds group have been reading and writing words with a consonant blend.
