NYCoS Singing Groups 2023

We are delighted to be offering our singing groups once again this year with our partner the National Youth Choir of Scotland.

Classes are available for 10 weeks starting after the Feb holiday. There are two age groups (P3-4 and P5-7) and there’s one of each in the six cluster areas in East Lothian. It’s completely free (funded by us!) and is brilliant fun!

For more info and to book please click here or any of the links in the flier below.

Registration opens Fri 10th Feb contact anna.ghazal@nycos.co.uk for info.

NYCoS Perform at The Brunton Theatre

DSC_0018(2)After 10 weeks of afterschool practices, The National Youth Choir of Scotland (NYCoS) Singing Groups from East Lothian came together to perform at the Brunton on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th March 2018. The NYCoS Singing Groups are supported and funded by the East Lothian Youth Music Initiative (YMI), funding which comes from the Scottish Government, through Creative Scotland. The groups consist of P3-7 schoolchildren from Musselburgh, Prestonpans, Tranent, Haddington, Dunbar and North Berwick.

The NYCoS singing groups meet weekly from October through to March and are open to all East Lothian P3-7 pupils. The singing group sessions are led by trained NYCos Staff and boast a wide variety of games, opportunities to sing and gain practical musical skills. All sessions are free to attend and are not limited by a selection process.
