After 10 weeks of afterschool practices, The National Youth Choir of Scotland (NYCoS) Singing Groups from East Lothian came together to perform at the Brunton on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th March 2018. The NYCoS Singing Groups are supported and funded by the East Lothian Youth Music Initiative (YMI), funding which comes from the Scottish Government, through Creative Scotland. The groups consist of P3-7 schoolchildren from Musselburgh, Prestonpans, Tranent, Haddington, Dunbar and North Berwick.

The singing group sessions are led by trained NYCos Staff and boast a wide variety of games, opportunities to sing and gain practical musical skills. All sessions are free to attend and are not limited by a selection process.

O Duo at the Brunton!
On Tuesday 1st February 2018, Musicians Owen Gunnell and Oliver Cox led a group of enthusiastic East Lothian Primary School pupils to form a brilliant percussion group at the Brunton in Musselburgh. Pupils from Aberlady, Ormiston, macmerry, Gullane, St Martin’s & Whitecraig Primary Schools performed on stage for their fellow pupils, parents and the public.
A successful event, shaped by the hard work, energy and enthusiasm of these young, eager pupils!
Well done to the pupils and O Duo for their outstanding performances and efforts!
